Bigger Ut Oh!

I told you it was the blogger!!! You can reach me at lorievers@att.net.

Ut Oh!

I was having trouble with my blog yesterday and I suddenly realized there is no post with the cards I posted yesterday. More than likely it was the blogger not the blog! I have had some major Christmas mojo going and I made more Christmas cards than I'm going to send out. If you like any of these contact me about purchasing them, otherwise enjoy!

Happy Pumpkin Day

My son recently married and I have had the pleasure of not only getting a great daughter-in-law but two amazing step grandchildren. Woo Hoo! They both love art and fell in love with my junky craft room. Bless their hearts they have no idea what they are getting into. I made these cards for them for Thanksgiving. This is an older Darcies stamp that I've always adored. Of course, I colored with my beloved pencils and went out on a limb here and added color with copic markers. For having only a few colors and hardly any practice, I don't think I did too bad. It was quite fun, but I hope I haven't jumped off into the deep end here! These little boogers are expensive, but fun. Enjoy and Happy Pumpkin Day!

More Halloween

I still can't believe it's only a few days till Halloween. All of the stores have had Halloween stuff on clearance for a couple of weeks now. Oh My! I have so much fun making Halloween cards and I'm going to try and share some of them with you. So here goes!

Legs from the Witch!

Only Carol will understand the title of this post. Just for you Carol! Really, I loaned this card to my good friend Bonnie to show at BStamps & Stuff. To make a long story short, I took it back to early. My good friend Carol got on to me for taking it too early. So per her request, here it is.
It was a really fun card to make. These stamps are just too darn cute! They are from Northwoods and I colored them with my beloved pencils. I'm sorry I don't have the DP manufacturer. I got the last piece and I don't have the name. Please Enjoy!

All wrapped up!

Can you believe Halloween will be here in just a couple of weeks? How this year has flown. Of course, I have a Halloween card to share with you today. I think you'll agree these little mummies are the cutest. My mummy is from Penney Black as is the sentiment. I loved sharing him or her with you. Smiles......

Caroling Hedgehogs

Can you believe the holidays are upon us? If you're having a hard time thinking about it.... well, you're not alone. Take a walk through Hobby Lobby and you might change your mind. So many pretty and festive things. I was taking a stroll down some of the Christmas aisles and found myself saying.. OOOH I could do that with that and OOOH that would be so cute on that.... but, of course that was bad for my husband, my financial advisor. Can you relate? Who can resist Penney Black when it comes to Christmas? Not Me! Here is a card I made last weekend. I was a card making fool last weekend. I made 4 cards. Really, 4 cards. Here's the first... Enjoy!

Spideweeney!

Yes I made that word up... Okay, I know it's lame, but I like it! Don't you just love all of the fun and colors and CANDY at Halloween. I swear every time I walk past those Halloween gadgets at Walgreen's or Michael's that scream "I see you", I gain a pound. I have so much fun making Halloween cards. this one I made for my monthly swap at BStamps & Stuff. The spider flourish is from a set called Halloween Trails by Inkadinkado. This set is AWESOME! You can see more of it on their web site, Inkadinkado.com. Inka's clear stamp sets stamp out beautifully. I have had nothing but fantastic results with these stamp sets. Back to the card.... the DP is some I have had for a couple of years, and didn't have the manufacturer. I used the spider web Cuttlebug embossing folder. The little plastic spider and ribbon is from the Halloween aisle at your friendly discount store. Until next time "Happy Spideweeney"!

Rain or Shine

Welcome the rain! I'm thankful Gustav didn't create more damage than he did. Today seems like the real end of summer. Really, I like these cool rainy days. It feels so fallish. Is that a word? I'm sure we will still have some hot days here in East Texas. I hope I haven't showed you this card already, but here it is. Isn't it so appropriate. Enjoy!

Imagination

I've this Impression Obsession stamp for a while now. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, but have not used it till now. When I saw this DP from GCD studios, the Zen Garden Collection, I knew it was perfect for the stamp. You can get both of these at BStamps & Stuff, my favorite hangout. Bonnie will be in Canton this weekend, but Sheela and I will be manning the store. Drop by and say Hi!

Life is in Bloom

Wow! Where did the summer go? We do need the rain, and these cooler temps are so nice, but I'M NOT DONE YET! I still want to make a few more trips to the water park. I'm trying to keep my cruise tan. I know, I know, I live in East Texas. I really don't have anything to worry about, do I? We will have plenty more "Hot" days. I have been busy this weekend.... stamping. I made another card with daisies, but it's so pretty! On this card I used several different stamps. The watering can is Impression Obsession, the daisies is Cornish Heritage Farms, and Life is in Bloom is by Printworks. The DP is the Ashville line from Scenic Route. Aren't they all so pretty? Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy.

This Bud's for you!

Gotcha with that title, didn't I? I did make this card for my stamper's night swap at BStamps & Stuff happening later this month. If you don't know by now Bonnie has moved BStamps just a few doors down. She has been working so hard to get the store open. The place will be small and cozy, but really nice. As soon as she opens, please go by for a visit. I promise you will not be disappointed. I'm thrilled we still have a stamp store!!! On this card I used my Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder. I love saying that word... embossing folder... sounds like I know what I'm doing! The stamp is Impression Obsessions "Three Windows" that I colored with my pencils. Add some ribbon,a brad,a butterfly and Voila!!! Enjoy!

Gratitude

What a grand feeling needing thank you cards. I'm very fortunate to need thank you cards. Just saying thank you doesn't seem quite enough. I hope sending cards made just for them says much more. I spent today making cards. Boy, was I in the "zone". I am so happy in that "zone". I'm going to share two of the cards I made today. The daisy stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms. Ain't that ribbon the bomb! The ribbon and pretty papers are from Papertrey Ink. They have the prettiest ribbon with matching papers and ink. Hope you enjoy!

Whoot! Whoot!

I know it's been awhile since I posted. I'm truly sorry, and yes I know I have said this before. I'm going to try very hard to keep in touch more with you guys. I have had an exciting summer. I went on my cruise, OMG you have got to take one if you never have, and I visited my sister recently. Going to her house is like a spa resort. For the first time in my life I have a beautiful tan. I have always burned, and I'm so proud of my tan. I'm sharing a card with you today that I made for my baby son's birthday (he turned 26) in June, and still acts like a baby sometimes. I love these owls from Cornish Heritage Farms, as always I colored them with my beloved primacolor pencils. They are just too cute, and you are too Blake. Happy Birthday Son. Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share with you all!

You're a scholar

I absolutely love this cutie patootie owl, and the DP paper has been some of my all time favorites. I'm usually not a blue person, but these colors couldn't be prettier. I made this card for a good friend's daughter. She is one very beautiful young lady, and is as sweet as she is beautiful. Congratulations Britt, on your graduation and making cheerleader at UNT.
As always, I really appreciate you stopping by! Have a great day!

Muddy Pup

Ain't he just the cutest thang! If he's anything like my baby girls, they love to play and they are definitely smart, but I don't know about the good part. Our vet says my "Daisy" is the smartest one in the house. Unfortunately, I'll have to agree. She sure knows how to work my husband and I, and she says everything with that adorable face. I have to let you see my other baby girl "Minnie". She's pretty adorable herself. She is a chewer! She eats everything! Socks, underwear, rags, towels, house shoes, paper, tv remote controls, decorative pillows, and it goes on and on. Oh well, it's just stuff, and all of that stuff can be replaced. My Muddy Pup image is from Whipper Snapper and I colored him with my prismacolor pencils. The DP is from Scenic Route the Summer Village collection. The ribbon is Hobby Lobby's 1/2 price ribbon and I'll have to apologize I don't know the name of the bubble stickers. They have been in my "dog's stuff box" for awhile now, and I can't remember the manufacturer.
Thanks for stopping by!

Purple Daisies?

I know Daisies don't come in blue and purple, but I wanted to use this paper from The Paper Studio. So, I had to have some blue and purple daisies. The daisy stamp is from Hampton Arts and I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils. The pearl centers are Robin's Nest dew drops. The glitz is purple stickles. You have probably figured it out by now that "I love Daisies"! That's my baby girl "Daisy" with me in my photo. The only thing I can say about her is (don't tell my darling hubby I said this) but, she is my BFF and the love of my life! Thanks visiting with us! Enjoy the card and my baby girl. Oh, Daisy says "woof, woof".

True Love

Yes, I'm still here! This is so hard for me to say, but I've been neglecting my stmaping lately. I know, I know, I should be ashamed. I am so wrapped up in my cruise... Oh! did I tell you I'm going on a cruise with some of BFF'S in June. I am so STOKED! I've been shopping for my wardrobe, tanning, pedicures and all that girlie fun stuff. My BFF loves horses and actually has 2 of her own. You can't begin to imagine how many horse stamps she has. I fell in love with this beautiful stamp myself and had to have it. This stamp is TrueLove by Coronado Island Stmaps. It stamps out beautifully and I colored it with my prismacolor pencils. The DP is Webster's Pages. The ribbon is actually a torn strip from a piece of fabric I had in a fabric stash. Hope you enjoy this card. I would like to take a sec to give a shout out to my talented stamping friend in Henderson - Vivra. Hey, Vivra! Enjoyed visiting with you and always love you sharing your art with me.

Seize the cupcake

I made this card for a shoebox shuffle I participated in at BStamps & Stuff in my hometown of Longview. This was my first shuffle and I had a blast. This really cute cupcake and sentiment is from Hero Arts. So fun and festive! I colored the cupcake with my prismacolor pencils and added sparkle with stickles. Great stuff!
Don't you just love the bright fun colors? The colors remind me of summer. Bring on the sun! Yesterday and last night was quite chilly here in East Texas. Too weird! I guess not for East Texas. Enjoy your day!

Dreamin....

I think we are all dreaming of those warm summer days. Wouldn't you just love to sit there and bask in the glorious sunshine. It does sound SWEET! About mid July and into August when it's 100 degrees here in Texas, I'll be wishing for cold weather. I'm so hard to please! As usual I used my beloved prismacolor pencils on this card. My BFF gave me this image, so I don't know who made the stamp. The DP is Pebbles Inc. You can get all of these supplies at BStamps & Stuff in Longview.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter

Hello! Can you believe it, I'm posting again. Maybe I'm on a roll. This card is for a "Stamper's Night" card swap coming up in a couple of weeks (yes, I have mine made early)at my local stamp store. The little happy bunny is from Art Impresssions. I colored that cutie with my prismacolor pencils. The "Happy Easter" is from Inkadinkado. You've got to check Inka out! They are always releasing such wonderful new stuff. I appreciate you stopping by!

First watercolor

This darling cupcake is my first time water coloring. This fun, cute cupcake and sentiment is from Hero Arts. When I saw "seize the cupcake" I had to have it! The small flower print DP is Frances Meyer's Jardin Bleu and the harlequin pattern is daisyd's Foulard-Ocean Lime. Look Closely! You can see I used my Spellbinders rectangle nestabilities, along with my new wizard. Too Cool! For some sparkle, of course, I used stickles. That stickles is some awesome stuff!
I want to take a minute and say "Hello" to one of my BFF'S over in Louisiana- Denise Barteet. Denise, thank you for your warm, generous, loving heart.
Hope you visit me again!

Texas Bronc

I can make cards using other stamps other than Paper Inspirations. Really! Here's one I made a little while back using Deadbeat Designs stamps. I love these of course being a native Texan. You can get these at my friend's stamp store "BStamps & Stuff" in Longview, TX. BStamps has a great selection and she's going to have a booth at Canton Trades Days this coming weekend. If your up that way check her out. She will have some Deadbeat Designs in some really awesome kits. You will get the stamp/stamps, markers or pencils, embellishments, and all the paper necessary to make 6 cards. Really a great deal! Sheela and I will be holding down the fort in Longview for her, so if you can't make Canton, come see us! Gotta go (Texan talk) do some errands today. See ya later (more Texas talk)! hehe

Late Valentine

I know Valentine's Day is gone, but I just have to share this one with you. I made this card for a swap and my husband. This card is from our baby girls to Daddy. I printed the heart shaped photos from a software program and then just matted them on black and red cardstock. The DP and ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The hugs and kisses stamp is a Stampendous stamp. I just LOVE this card and so did my hubby. He even put it on his desk. Can't believe it! I know it has been awhile since my last post. I've been so busy making cards for Paper Inspirations. Thanks for stopping by. Please come again, I will try really hard to have more frequent posts. :)

Happy Hatbox

Don't you just want to pinch those cute little cheeks? I mean on his face! This is another Paper Inspiration's stamp, and just too cute. Again, I applied color with my beloved pencils. The DP is Daisy D's paisley garden. What a beautiful color combo. The sentiment is my all time favorite from Stamp Francisco.
I want to thank all of you for your encouragement and support. I hope with all my heart that my passion brings you as much joy as it does me. Come back soon.

How about a little love

How darling is this? I guess you can tell by now my all time favorite stamp company is Paper Inspirations. This darling stamp is from PI and I colored it with my pencils. The beautiful DP is from Basic Greys's Romani collection. The brads are Petite Pearls. All of these items came from my friend's stamp store - BStamps & Stuff. Aren't I lucky to have a stamp store in my town? Stop by and say Hi! if you happen to be in the area. Thanks for stopping by!

Back to the flowers!

The snow was so short lived but amazing. Just got back from the stamp convention in Mesquite. Got to see some friends from out of state, I don't get to see very often. Hello, Jimmie and Becky. I'm sharing with you today a beautiful Magenta stamp that I colored with my beloved prismacolor pencils. Sorry, I lost the name of the DP. I'm real good at that. You think I would remember the name of something so pretty. Thanks for taking a peek!

WE GOT SNOW!

It is absolutely unbelievable! Although it didn't accumulate or stick it actually snowed here yesterday. God is good! It was so beautiful! I pretended it snowed enough to blanket everything and build a snowman. It was heaven. Yes, I'm going to post one more snow card. This stamp belongs to my best friend, Sheela, and she shared it with me. It is a beautiful image from Stamp Rosa. The DP is Daisy D's from a couple of years back, but so pretty. I colored the image with my pencils. Ribbon unknown and the twigs I cut from a wreath I bought in the clearance bin at Michael's. So much joy, I hope all your wishes come true this year.

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Okay, Okay!

Well, I've given up on the snow for now anyway. Many years back we did get some snow on Valentine's Day. Still some hope left! Let's bring on the Spring which means another one of my favorites - FLOWERS! One of God's many beautiful creations and gifts to us. This card is a Penny Black image. Sooooo pretty. I stamped it with versafine onxy black ink and colored it with pencils. The paper is from my huge scrap pile and sorry the name was missing. I'm sure some of you might recognize it. Ribbon unknown. I hope this brings you the joy it did me.

Monday, January 7, 2008

Oh I wish....

Well, it topped out at 77 degrees today. Nice and cozy, wouldn't you say? I don't think I'm gonna get my snow. Thanks bunches for wanting to send me some. Just put it in a stamped envelope and mail it off! I wish it was that simple. Around here, they do think I've lost my mind. I'm giving you more snow cards. This is a Paper Inspiration stamp paired with the beautiful Scenic Route DP paper. The wooden snowflake I found at Michael's and ribbon is the always on sale ribbon from hobby Lobby. I really appreciate you letting me share my bliss with you! A really WARM Texas size hug!
